A special memory for our campers are camp-out weeks. Instead of returning home Thursday afternoon, campers stay at camp where they receive a well-balanced meal prepared over the campfire.
During the weeks that offer a camp-out, Thursday night is also Family Night at Camp Mudd! Families are invited to visit Camp Mudd at 7:00 p.m. and share their child’s experience. Campers share their camp experiences with their families with a variety of performances according to that week’s theme. If a camper is not comfortable staying over night, they are able to leave with their families after Family Night.
Following the family night activities, campers prepare their campsites for an evening of roasting marshmallows and telling campfire stories with their groups. A starry night and a chorus of chirping crickets make the night complete. In case of poor weather conditions, Camp Mudd has a large lodge where all of the campers will sleep.
Campers will return home at noon on Friday after camping out.
